403. I don't like to wash my hair.

We all get fucking lazy and hate to wash our hair. I thought now that I've hacked my hair off to a bob length it would be easier. Nope, still hate washing my hair. Maybe I'm gross, lazy, or just don't want to conform to society. Who am I kidding. Nah, just lazy and gross I think. However when I discovered Batiste, circa Reading festival 2008, that helped wash away any greasy looking festival vibes and was from then on my saviour.
However I always had a problem with it, it left me looking like I had dandruff. No matter what advice people told me, "rub it in properly" or "use it the night before" it still left a white residue on my dark head of hair (I know they do a brunette one but I'm not paying extra for that, plus back in 2008 i remember it was about £1.50 for a can!). Not only that but it irritated my scalp.

Anyways I've tried a few other dry shampoos in the process, Mark Hill (did weird things to my hair) , herbal essences (kinda-ish worked), label m (didn't work), superdrug's own brand (nope, didn't work).

So I kinda gave up. Until I saw a new brand in Superdrug called CoLab which had the cutest bottle design, it was half price so I thought I'd give it ago. Trying the original scent for a clean fresh smell, it worked a dream. All varieties promote that it doesn't leave a white residue! Which it didn't! And it worked beautifully not leaving my hair feel too dry either! After a couple test runs I ran back to Superdrug and stocked up on a couple more bottles (opted for the extremely cute fruity scent with smiley faces on the bottle and the tropical covered in the trendy look of "plants on pink" print).

Not only is this stuff great but it's vegan friendly, not tested on animals, and protects your hair from uv damage and pollution!

So guys test this shit out! You'll never look back.

384. Beauty Essential.

Since travelling around Asia I discovered a new beauty saviour, coconut oil (extra virgin and organic is a must). It has so many different uses and even health benefits. Being 100% natural you can feel happy knowing that no chemicals or anything artificial is hidden within this heavenly substance, it also. Below I've listed what I've used the coconut oil for, try them out for yourself.

- If your ends are feeling a bit dry and limp, pop about a teaspoon of coconut oil onto your hands and massage it into your hair. It's best to leave it in over night for best results, lay a towel over your pillow for you to sleep on, then thoroughly wash it out the next morning using a little shampoo.

- It's a great natural way to moisturise especially if you have dry skin. Just a few drops is needed and it'll leave it feeling a lot less scaly.

- Instead of using shaving gel, use coconut oil. It leaves your legs feeling incredibly smooth, moisturised and smelling fragrant.

- Replace your cooking oil with coconut oil, it's been proven that this is way better and healthier for you. Although it is high in saturated fat it contains lauric acid which helps kills bacteria, fungi and viruses. Not only this it's also proven to help loose weight, it is made up of medium-chain triglycerides which are used directly for energy by your body.

- Also use it for massage oil, a bug repellant and lip salve.

If you're wanting to use it as a liquid form, run it under a hot tap for a minute or so, it melts super quickly.

Blue liquid eyeliner?

So i'm trying to be a little more experimental with my make up and after flicking through Vogue and many beauty articles this picture below is my inspiration.

Anna Sui SS13

I just bought the Louise Gray eyeliner from topshop in the blue, it was £2 on sale so I though I would give it a go and try and make it wearable.

The look is very matte so I started by brushing over and around my eyes with Mac powder, this will help get rid of any moisture, grease etc as well as provide a base to help lock in the eyeliner, preventing it from straying down your face. Buy Me

This is me with my eyeliner, that is what it looks like and this is me happy. If you're unable to find this eyeliner due to it being on sale try Topshops crayon in Kingfisher. Buy Me

Right, I know I look a bit like an idiot, but firstly apply a thin line, I do mine with minimal open eyes to 1. make sure they're even and 2. prevent it from printing above.

This bit is most important, to get the flicks even, plonk a dot on both eyes making sure their at the same level.

Make sure you try and be as sturdy as you can, then play dot to dot!

See even! Skim over the lines again if you need to thicken the line up or to intensify the colour.

Apply the dots below in the centre of the eye if you wanna go all out, I've tested it out for you, whether or not I actually go out in public like this is another question.

As you can tell from the picture above, the flick is not thick enough. So to create more of the 1950's shape, create a more straight line on the top edge as well as straightening the short line to create a more angular shape rather than curved.

Voila. ze final look. It's not exactly the same, the blue turned out a lot darker than expected. Flicks are so bloody hard to do on an asian eye, it definitely depends on the shape of your eye and takes some practice and experimentation but I should have extended a lot more however I think its more likely I'll wear it like this. I will give this blue slick of eyeliner ago, makes a nice change from black. Please let me know what you think and if you have any other tips!

Perfect your pout.

So it's NYE tomorrow, and I always wear lipstick, no matter what. I have a strict regime to make sure my lips stay in tack and look their best. So here's how I apply...

1.) Always start with a smooth lip. Never good applying lipstick when you have a chapped lip. So begin with scrubbing your lips with Lush's mint sugar scrub (tastes delicious) to get rid of that dead skin. However I've lost mine, so if you don't have it use a normal chapstick and make sure all the dead skin is removed. Buy Me.

2.) When choosing your lip liner it doesn't have to be the exact shade, just something similar or a shade lighter, a good lipstick will cover it as it's just used as a base.Outline your lip with this lip liner and colour in your whole lip. This helps lock in the lipstick when it's applied. Buy Me

3.) Obviously apply the lipstick, I always tend to go for a good Mac lipstick, the colour comes out great and it does last without any lipcote. To get a defined shape use a lip brush to neaten the edges of your lips, don't want a smudgy lip now. Buy Me

4.) Grab a piece of tissue and kiss onto it, blotting the lip gets rid of excess moisture that normally leads to the lipstick bleeding and not lasting as long. To ensure the lipstick lasts all night with minimal top up apply lipcote all over the lip. Make sure you cover all areas, as I sometimes forget to apply towards the inside of my lips. Leave for 15 minutes, don't eat or drink, just pout.

5.) Add a little bit of gloss if you want, sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, a little disadvantage is that it doesn't let your lipstick last as long.

6.)Voila you will have the perfect pout to last all night. Now drink as much as you want, you can kiss but if you get a little into it and end up ferociously snogging, it's gonna come off no matter how much lipcote you use.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
This will be me tomorrow night no doubt.
