After work I popped down to French Connections press day, showcasing their Winter collection of all things graphic, embellished and bold. The collection took inspiration from aristocratic country life with a modern city edge, colour palettes were made up of black, whites and zests of lemon yellow. In forms of beautifully knitted jumpers, with matching printed trousers and blazers. There was an effortlessness to the collection that I'd definitely want to wear to work.
The collection was also heavily influenced by the Sixties, with beautifully embellished shift dresses, double breasted lapelled coats and prim white collars. The camel short suit was a favourite of mine, it was the perfect combination of cute and boyish chic. Their evening wear never fails to delight me, covered completely in sequins they manage to keep it looking delicate and fresh rather than over the top tack.
