365. Travel diary. NYC.

Nikki and I are embarking on a six month adventure around, our first stop being New York city. Having a very small budget I'll be giving tips along the way on how you can make the most of travelling on little to no money. New York was inevitably going to be expensive, so we booked an apartment via airbnb. Staying in the heart of williamsburg in Brooklyn this is known as the cool hip area but it's also pretty safe and a sweet town. Anyways I will be documenting my travels through photos and adding any tips along the way.

New York public library and grand central station.

Both totally free and both iconic parts of New York city. The buildings are incredible and super opulent, definitely worth a visit. The New York public library also do free tours, which was actually really good.Nsuch sunning architecture and history the buildings were made from marble and really highlighted the beauty of nyc. We also had to check out times square which was completely mental.

So we decided to check out the nightlife in williamsburg. Having a friend that works on the door at one of the trendiest venues we were lucky enough to go and see girl unit and leatherette. It's a cool club to head to if you fancy some good DJs and a little boogie. I have to highlight they have an insane rooftop which is open at night.

One of the guys we rented the room from took us to this place. It's kind of a hip hop jazz bar located in the lower east side. It had a really cool vibe, pretty cool and relaxed. The best part was the live music, with a full band on stage and a live DJ it was some of the best live music I've heard seeing as we didn't have to pay to get in. Live amateur rappers jammed along swapping the mic to other fellow rappers. They were insanely good and definitely didn't sound like amateurs. Definitely recommend.
