370. Travel diary. LA.

Venice and Santa Monica beach

Really cool beach to check out, super sunny and if you're early enough you can catch the surfers. Oh we saw a lot of muscly men so the nick name for Venice beach, muscle beach is very true. The whole vibe was very chilled and very colourful. With a lot of skateboarders cruising about, we loved LA instantly.

Runyon canyon

Known to many as the place where all the celebs in Hollywood do their daily run, I have no idea how the fuck they do it. I only just managed to walk it but definitely moaned a bit on the way and had to have a little sit down. Mind you we walked up it at midday and it was blazing hot, being very steep and little to no shade the 2 mile walk seemed a lot further than it was. When we reached to the top, it was a pretty incredible view. You could see the whole city from above.

Hollywood

No trip to LA would've been complete without taking a selfie in front of the Hollywood sign and seeing the stars on the floor right?

Speranza

This was the most incredible Italian restaurant I think I've been to other than the ones in Italy. The food was incredible, serving pasta and meat dishes it was surprising there was no pizza on the menu. Upon arrival we were given freshly baked bread to dip in oil and vinegar as well as an olive dip and a tomato dip. It was so good. We also indulged in a quinoa salad for starter then proceeded to have the lasagna. It was so tasty and somehow managed to fit it all in my belly. On the other side of our table we spotted Danny DeVito! Celeb spot number two after see Caggie from made in Chelsea at Heathrow. A Pretty surreal moment at a romantic little restaurant in LA.
