Splurge, Spend or Save - Dress to impress

Christmas is officially upon us, which means there are lots of partys to attend to and way too many hideous dresses out there. Here are my share of fabulous dresses i've found to inject glitz and glamour to your wardrobe this winter.

 Splurge

£3049
Matthew Williamson
Farfetch.com
With a hefty price tag it is absolutely deliciously beautiful. Sequin and feather and fabulousness overload, I want!

£850
Sass & Bide
Net-a-porter.com
Recently doing my post about the 1920's, this is perfect for that jazzy fun look. The ostrich feathers and linear detail works beautifully.

£507.50
Holly Fulton
Hervia Bazaar
Holly Fulton is one of my favourite new generation designers and this is a stunning piece I saw on the catwalk this year. Colourful, detailed yet simply cut, the satin fabric adds an evening feel.

Spend

£385
Lucy in disguise
Harvey Nichols
Glitter! I love this take on a shirt dress, its cute and classy. It's midi length makes it easy to wear keeping it sophisticated and fun.

£235
Anglomania Vivienne Westwood
Selfridges
The signature draped neckline is shows off the collar bones, with the molton metallic finish it ultimately seductive.

£200
Asos.com
Another 20's inspired dress, the beautiful scalloped hem dips at the back creating a soft silhouette complimented with the intricate beading.

Save
£89.99
Zara
The layers of fabrics work beautifully and flow, match with a pair of chunky ankle boots to add a grungy look. The soft v neck keeps the outfit feminine.
£44.90
Mango
There is a versatility in this dress, wear it with a leather jacket and it would look effortless or with a trench coat to create a glamourous look.

£3.99
H&M
Absolute bargain! Hello, i've bought this dress and I can't wait until it arrives. It has a elegant draped back and for £3.99 you can't go wrong.

Christmas Wishlist

Christmas is drawing closer and the list of things I want is growing fiercely. So just dropping a hint to my friends and family and any admirers out there who may want to buy me a present, just have a cheeky look below...

These amazing heeled boots resemble ridiculous similarities to the Laurence Decade boots I blogged about back in August. Seeing as I can't afford the £800, these Topshop ones seem affordable for £150.

Pentax produce brilliant cameras and now they do this cute stylish number in a pearl white. You can capture your photos and edit them in a 'vintage' way, very much like the app on the i phone. I'm not technical enough for an i phone and still like the idea of a camera and this one is too cute to miss for £69 at electrical123.com

Anyone who knows me knows how much the peace symbol means to me and this tacky little number hasn't got away. This diamonte ring by Me and Zena has my name written all over it for £18.

My love for fashion photography is immense and I love Richard Avedon's work. His work is so elegant that it makes you want to go back in time. I think one of my cheeky friends has got me one of his books. Take a look at his work from 1944 - 2000 from amazon at £42.

I have a small obsession with sunglasses and these I tried on whilst I was at Browns, and instantly fell in love. For a mere £180 these stylish Illestevas are surely a bargain?

Faux fur is perfect for January, the coldest time of year and it's a bargain for £20, Asos never fails to impress! It can be thrown on with your biker jacket, blazer or trench and you'll look forever fabulous.

Another snazzy little piece from Asos, this quirky little necklace is pretty unique and I can see this being worn with a white shirt, for £15 it's not a bad buy.
