295. Poser

It was the second day of fashion week and post mac make-over and pre Mark Fast. A little tired after another 9:00am show but happy as I was taking my bestie to her first ever fashion show. I'm enjoying these cmid-calf length trousers, I predict they will be here to stay until next summer at least. They've been splurged all over the catwalk, so let's wait and see...

356. Poser.

Jess and I decided to take a day trip to the Barbican where they have the most amazing conservatory filled with exoctic plants. Having a little wonder around we captured some pretty cool pics. Check out her website to see more! I love these shoes, they are my new found favourite, super comfortable they add a little height as well as looking pretty on the feet.

341. Poser.

So my minimal colour palette of mainly black continues, but hello sexy vinyl dominatrix looking skirt. Jazz up a plain black outfit with some fabric play. The vinyl skirt just adds a little oomph to the look whilst the studded sneakers keep it casual. My t-shirt is very subtly burnt out which is an updated look to a standard long sleeve.

Black, every woman's favourite colour. It flatters you whether you're short, small, fat, thin, basically whatever your shape. It hides all your lumps and bumps and makes you look ulra chic and timeless. Today's outfit is inspired by an Audrey Hepburnesque look, an all black cigarette trouser avec a high neck and cat eye glasses.

Everyone has a go to black outfit, what's yours?

314. Poser.

This was the last outfit of the day, and we ventured out into the rain, I saw this tree and thought it was so beautiful I should go hide and pose under it. And there it was, a pout and a picture.

297. Poser

When packing I always try and be strategic, being able to mix and match and taking outfits from day to evening without looking boring. It was safe to say that even when doing this I manage to still take a huge suitcase for a three day saga. Wearing this outfit to the Hexa by Kuho show then making my way into the night for the insane Kenzo party, which was in an aquarium. Yes it was amazing, maybe I'll dedicate a post to the parties I went to because they were great. Anyways my colour palette for the weekend was rather bland but I love it. Look at my serious face, yes I'm serious about fashion...

386. Poser.

Jess took me to the fields behind her house as a new back drop for my poser post. We went during golden hour, and it was ridiculously sunny. I love living in the country, I won't lie. So pretty and peaceful, however trekking through in heels wasn't easy. Back to the outfit, this is a little birthday special (21st last week wheyyy) and my best mates got me this clutch for me! Such a surprise, I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened it, they know me too well. Thanks guys!! So much love to you.

282. Versus.

Carven's classic circular bag has been a favourite of mine since discovering them whilst working at Rainbowwave PR. After recently visiting & Other Stories I noticed they did the exact same shape! These aren't the most normal shape to come by but they are definitely the chicest. Being able to put nothing more than your phone, lipstick and keys, it's perfect for a evening out for cocktails.

280. Poser

I found these cool trousers in Zara and had to have them. Although they are a wide cropped cut and would probably look awful on a short person like myself, I also couldn't give a fuck and bought them anyway. All black everything as they would say on the good old instragram.

Poser #19 - Simply does it.

Both me and my friend (the photographer) were both ridiculously hungover when shooting this, however floundering through the fields and tunnels of our hometown in the sun did make us feel a little better. I particularly wanted to shoot my fancy new shoes. They are so big and fat and chunky, I needed a new pair of heels seeing as I've had a little trainer addiction recently. I decided to pair them up with some tailored trousers and a simple floaty vest, and a pop of colour with the beanie. Using a muted colour palette and no jewellery makes the outfit look effortless yet the splash of neon keeps it fresh.

Poser #16 - A week of work wear

My life as a working lady sure is hard and I'd thought I'd bring to you the outfits I wear to work. Seeing as I work in fashion, there is no strict rule of what I can and can't wear. Sometimes I'll wear a jumper, jeans and trainers, however sometimes I'll wear a pencil skirt and blouse. It's probably obvious that my colour palette will be muted, hopefully the colours will roll in as soon as the sun makes a bit more on an appearance. Hope you like!

& Other Stories - Over hyped?

So Hennes and Mauritz opened their store "& Other Stories" last week, after their string of other successful stores like H&M and Cos, I was pretty excited to see what "& Other Stories" would be like. It was amazing, it was the balance between H&M and Cos, the aesthetics of Cos but with lower price points and a slightly younger more adventurous feel. It was the shop where the girl wants to grow up to be a Whistles and Cos woman but is still having a lot of fun with fashion and the main factor, they can afford it!

There was a minimalist urban white feel with hints of wood and natural lighting. The collection was rather large compared to what I thought it would be, there was so much, I didn't know where to start and I could feel myself falling in love with each piece. The huge array of clothes consisted of leather and mesh grunge pieces, structural satin jackets, cocoon like dresses the list goes on. Something for pretty much everyone.

Picture taken from Marie Claire

Towards the back of the ground floor was the make up and beauty area, filled with body lotions and powder, "& Other Stories" was a lifestyle that I wanted to be part of, effortlessly chic and chilled is what I felt. I could see the brand taking form and I could also see myself being sucked into it all, wanting to become a part of that world as lame as it sounds.
As I trapsed upstairs the collection continued with the addition of lingerie and a devine shoe area. I have a shoe addiction to say the least and they definitely excelled in this area. Their shoes were definitely inspired by designers such as Nicholas Kirkwood, Acne and Celine. Every 20 somethings dream!

However the price points were a little odd, I bought myself an organic cotton/jersey dress for a mere £29 yet a simple ring was £19. Bags ranged between £19 to £95 for a pretty simple design, although the higher prices were made of leather but I didn't feel they were justifiable against other pieces in the collection. It won't stop me from shopping here in the future, I will definitely be buying many more pieces on pay day. Although I do question that the launch of this new store/brand will put Cos in jeopardy due to the ridiculously good price points which are very relatable to Topshop. I can see this being Topshops and Zaras real competition on the high street.

Worth the hype? Most definitely.

My Top 10 Buys.
