355. What lies beneath?

Underwear is an obsession of mine, even though no one can see what you're wearing under your clothes, wearing a nice set of underwear just makes you feel that much more glamourous and sexy, however stupid that sounds. At the moment there's a real trend for all things lacey and very little to no padding, delicate and comfy. Check out my picks, there's one for what ever the budget.

Givenchy Vs Topshop

The Givenchy Antigona bag is an absolute classic, it's elegant, sturdy and a good size for you're everyday hangbag. And with a hefty price tag it's no wonder Topshop have finally done one of a similar style. Taking into a account the monochrome trend they've gone for a black and white look however the shape is pretty much bang on. How I will be lusting over the Givenchy, but may have to just purchase the Topshop...

Carven Vs Topshop

Carven have been setting the trends all year round and this season is no exception. Topshop have taken inspiration from their shoes and made them a lot more mainstream. This isn't the only styles they've taken inspiration from. Carven  have done the most incrediable t-bar platforms and they've filtered through to the high street well. Not going to lie, I do prefer the Carven ones as they look a lot more elegant but the Topshop ones are perfect for the teens who want to replicate the Carven feel.

& Other Stories - Over hyped?

So Hennes and Mauritz opened their store "& Other Stories" last week, after their string of other successful stores like H&M and Cos, I was pretty excited to see what "& Other Stories" would be like. It was amazing, it was the balance between H&M and Cos, the aesthetics of Cos but with lower price points and a slightly younger more adventurous feel. It was the shop where the girl wants to grow up to be a Whistles and Cos woman but is still having a lot of fun with fashion and the main factor, they can afford it!

There was a minimalist urban white feel with hints of wood and natural lighting. The collection was rather large compared to what I thought it would be, there was so much, I didn't know where to start and I could feel myself falling in love with each piece. The huge array of clothes consisted of leather and mesh grunge pieces, structural satin jackets, cocoon like dresses the list goes on. Something for pretty much everyone.

Picture taken from Marie Claire

Towards the back of the ground floor was the make up and beauty area, filled with body lotions and powder, "& Other Stories" was a lifestyle that I wanted to be part of, effortlessly chic and chilled is what I felt. I could see the brand taking form and I could also see myself being sucked into it all, wanting to become a part of that world as lame as it sounds.
As I trapsed upstairs the collection continued with the addition of lingerie and a devine shoe area. I have a shoe addiction to say the least and they definitely excelled in this area. Their shoes were definitely inspired by designers such as Nicholas Kirkwood, Acne and Celine. Every 20 somethings dream!

However the price points were a little odd, I bought myself an organic cotton/jersey dress for a mere £29 yet a simple ring was £19. Bags ranged between £19 to £95 for a pretty simple design, although the higher prices were made of leather but I didn't feel they were justifiable against other pieces in the collection. It won't stop me from shopping here in the future, I will definitely be buying many more pieces on pay day. Although I do question that the launch of this new store/brand will put Cos in jeopardy due to the ridiculously good price points which are very relatable to Topshop. I can see this being Topshops and Zaras real competition on the high street.

Worth the hype? Most definitely.

Poser #14 - PFW AW13

These trousers were an absolute bargain find, £7 from H&M in the dregs of the sale. At the time I was like hmmm really? But I thought fuck it YOLO/FOMO (new one my friend taught me, fear of missing out).

Poser #6 - PFW

So I won't lie since PFW I have been bloody lazy with blogging but I'm slowly getting back to the swing of things. Jemima loves hipstomatic and took a shit load of pics of me posing to the max. These aren't even that posey...they get a lot worse...maybe i'll share them with you guys, could be embarassing.

Poser #2 Interview

What to wear for an interview? Well I like to keep it simple, not over the top and in your face. Something chic and professional but still shows off your personality. Most of the time I opt for heels and a simple dress. A nice dress never goes wrong.

So this is me after the interview, a bit haggered but it'll do. Was to busy and hectic in the morning, I'm sure you know what I mean. Oooh yeah, look at me pout.
P.s. I hope you all notice this is a shift dress, noted from my last post, I just got it in white as I couldn't find fluro pink, but I love it just as much.

The Simple Shift

I've always thought that the shift dress was a staple in any girls wardrobe. I particularly like the unfitted, hang of the body ones in simple cuts. Not too girly and not too boring. Always easy to accessorise, just one simple piece and your outfit is complete. Big bold colours make a statement and black keeps it classic. Take a peak below...

Roses are red, Violets are blue...

...the love of my life are shoes, not you! So the beloved Valentines day is coming and to be honest my date is with one of my friends, in her bedroom with dominoes, ice cream, alcohol and non romantic films. Whether you have a sexy someone or not we all like to look nice. So here are my treats I've chosen for the saucy day...

So cute in the love heart shape, this piece is an obvious investment.

Fendi VS Topshop

Fur as we know is a beautiful compliment to any winter gear. And especially on the cuffs of your coat! Working in Browns I couldn't take my eyes off of this Fendi piece, it's got a slight retro feel with the wide sleeve and the upright collar, the contrast of the blue and the brown make it very wearable and luxurious. However not all of us can afford the 6k for just a coat so I found one just as fabulous in Topshop with a slightly more softer silhouette.
