287. Trends.

The cross body shoulder bag has been seen literally everywhere. Every single brand is doing one, they are pretty handy for a day to evening bag. Pop your phone, lipstick and keys and that's all you need. They are simple and stylish but I can undestand they would be a bit annoying. They haven't quite filtered into the high street just yet, but Zara have managed to keep up. Anyways check out the edit.

Alexander Wang Vs Whistles

So a big trend is leather, and we've seen lots and lots of it. It's chic, expensive and has a sense of luxury about it without being over the top. Going with that is the bomber, previously posted about the Jil Sander bomber with the American apparel one, the high street and designers can't seem to get enough of it. I especially like the ones below. Sporty, edgy, androgynous and fresh. Personally my pocket isn't filled with too many coins right now...

Erdem Vs Whistles

A classic floral dress is always lovely for the summer, and they're consistanly shown on the s/s catwalk no matter what. Van Gogh like paintings of flowers were seen on a few collection such as Rodarte and Erdem and this lovely little number I found was colourful and not overly girly. Now it's not exactly the same but it was obvious Whistles took inspiration from the Erdem collection to create an all round commercial piece, however equally delightful.

Peter Jensen VS Whistles

So it's been a while since I've done a designer Vs highstreet due to partly being a workaholic and having no time, but also with the new year there is a lack of new collections. But here I have finally redeemed myself.
Recently posting about the pyjama trend, I found these wonderful sets. Peter Jensen does a classic ditsy silk check set in a bold blue for a few bob but Whistles creates a beautiful oriental floral set with a clean cut. I really think both will be a hit, wear with a pair of pointed stilettos to give extra class.
