SASS AND BIDE
Held at the royal horticultural hall, I entered the large
white room with a glass dome ceiling letting all natural light in. Sat on the frow was the likes of Dionne Bromfield and Poppy Delevigne, very stylish load. A lot of suspense was created using music to
prolong the hustle and bustle backstage but as soon as the beat dropped a
fierce looking model stepped out in an off white dress with origami folds to
contour her shape. Flawless and sleek I didn’t expect any less from Sass &
Bide. Their collection featured lots of bold metal neckpieces as well as
flowers, lots of their signature neon bursts.
Love shady was the title of their collection, and it
translated as a relationship between the masculine and the feminine which was
seen through tailored silk suits contrasted against highly embellished short
party dresses and pale cream ostrich feather skirts. Full of sensual soft
silhouettes but opposed by romantic precision, the flash of orange complimented
the whites and creams superbly.
Cara Delevigne strutted the catwalk looking impeccable in
perfect party wear. Metal origami belts in silver adorned at the waist of
frocks, especially highlight on the full length mirror dress with sheer black
sides, a phenomenal piece that shone on the runway. Featured metal capped
shoulders were seen on tuxedos layered like feathers, which was a beautiful
take on the new jacket. There was a definite ethereal atmosphere as silks and
sparkles cascaded down the white floor. Armour decorated the bodies of models
in a delicate yet well sharp way which balanced out the masculine and the
feminine.
